Nadja

Dutch actress Nadja Hüpscher was a cultural business student and did some amateur theater before she started a successful acting career. In 1999 she won the prestigious Dutch Gouden Kalf award for her part in De boekverfilming, in 2008 she was nominated again for her role in Dennis P, which was directed by another member of our jury, Pieter Kuijpers. Other films in which she starred are: Simon, Rent a Friend, Babylon and Costa!. Nadja can also be found on the stage of Dutch theaters and in a number of productions for Dutch television.


Bor

Journalist Bor Beekman started off his career as general reporter. He has been working at the Volkskrant daily newspaper since 2004, first as freelancer and editor for the Volkskrant magazine, nowadays permanently as a film editor. In 2005 Bor won the Dutch Golden Pen incentive award for stimulating young talent. During the last editions of the IDFA and Rotterdam Film Festival he was a reporter for Kunststof radio.


Pieter

The multi-talented Pieter Kuijpers has been an actor, writer, director and producer for years. He started his career as a scriptwriter for series on Dutch television, and currently runs and owns a production company called Pumpkinfilm. He developed television formats and movies and directed TV productions such as The Ordening and Off Screen.


Caspar

Caspar Sonnen started his career as a film editor/journalist in 1999. He did some text writing for Cinema Delicatessen, was editor of the Festival Daily at the IDFA and special screenings programmer at Cinema the Movies in Amsterdam. Caspar is one of the founders of the Amsterdam Open Air Film Festival Pluk de Nacht and festival programmer since 2001. He also coordinates the New Media & Curator DocLab program at the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam.


Jiska

Jiska Rickels studied at the Dutch Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam and the Hochschule Für Fernsehen und Film in München. Jiska directed Himmelfilm together with Sanne Kurz, and collaborated on several projects including the Oscar nominated The Story of the Weeping Camel. Her documentary 4 Elements was the opening film of the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam in 2006, and was screened and awarded at other renowned film festivals.
