CINESTUD WARMING-UP: DANCE THROUGH 50 YEARS OF CINEMA

To warm up the crowd of film lovers, Cinestud throws two parties: one in Meneer De Wit and one in Pakhuis Wilhelmina. Our DJs and VJ will guide you through five decades of film and film music: from Godard’s sophisticated, jazzy sound in the sixties, to the edgy, electric tunes of Beverly Hills Cop in the eighties, and far beyond.

March 6, Meneer De Wit:
-At 22h, DJ Bizar will be spinning a truckload of records from his vast collection of soundtracks
-At 0h, the muscles are flexed for Rubix’s eclectic mix of hip-hop and electronica
-At 1.15h, The Heykids will take over to keep you on your toes with their solid dance beats
-From 2.30h – close, Lustige Lola und Weltschmerz will provide us with a grand finale of dirty greasy and energetic elektro tunes

March 21, Pakhuis Wilhelmina:
-21h: Stretch your muscles to the very danceable music of the band Fata ‘El Moustache Morgana
-22h: DJ Bizar will be spinning a handful of records from his vast collection of soundtracks
-23.30h – close: Homework DJs will top it all off with some rock solid elektro
